Back to Glastonbury Tor in oils

Heart on a hill beneath a tiger sky
Over rippling fields swallows fly
Footsteps echoing this path once more
All the way round Glastonbury Tor

Finally getting back to my Glastonbury Tor pictures, now trying oils to go with the watercolour,
progress so far today in photos below.

Kitchen table studio...

....Glastonbury Tor in summer.

The Dragon Pool

In the shadows of the hill
Submerged but not slumbering
You fear its heat upon your skin
The fiery breath lingering

But the dragon is not here for you
You are too small to catch its eye
And it's always best to let it rest
Where dragons like to lie

And should it rumble at the sound
Of the ripples from your wishing stone
Well perhaps you shouldn't dare to wish
Upon a dragon's home

In the shadows of the hill
Submerged but not slumbering
You fear it's heat upon your skin
The fiery breath lingering

But I will not let it harm you
The dragon always heeds my will
Submerged but not slumbering
In the shadows of the hill
